Rier was founded by Andreas Steiner, merging the material culture and functional traditions of the Tyrolean Alps with a sensibility developed in Paris. Alpine craft is reinterpreted rather than repackaged: loden, boiled wool and mountaineering layers cut to proportions that work with modern dressing. Everything is made in family-owned factories in Austria and Italy, using natural fibres from local supply chains where possible. Clean lines, considered proportions, nothing ornamental.
